Prince Philippe's visit
In relation to the contacts HM keeps with the universities and the companies, Prince Philippe paid a visit
on Tuesday, March 22nd to tackle the question of the creation of academic spin-offs. Keyobs was honoured to welcome the Prince on its premises. The Prince was deeply interested by
the maps we recently made for NGOs.

Implantation d'un barrage en Algérie
La problématique liée à l’approvisionnement en eau dans les pays semi-désertiques et désertiques sera de plus en plus présente dans les années futures. Keyobs en partenariat avec Coyne et Bellier (société d'ingénierie spécialisée dans les études de barrages) a mené un étude de cartographie Géologique, Geo-morphologique, Hydro-géologique et d'occupation du sol pour l’analyse d’un bassin versant et ce afin de définir la base de travail pour le projet d’un important barrage dans l'est algérien.

Mapping project for a High Voltage line in DRC
Within the framework of an electrical infrastructure rehabilitation project,
Keyobs is carrying out a cartographic and topographic study in the Katanga Province (DRC). The study includes building a digital elevation model (DEM)
based on field data mesured with differential GPS and satellite data. The DEM is used to analyze the terrain morphology and calculate the topographic profiles
in order to define where high voltage pylon should stand

MINPACT pollution follow-up A consortium including the Géomac laboratory and the BRGM and led by Keyobs is carrying out a study
on the use of hyperspectral technologies for the assessment and follow-up of mining and industrial pollutions. This project concentrates both on
the Mosan watershed around Liège and on mining sites in Romania. The results are meant to refine the methods of pollution follow-up for other mining sites in Europe.

Humanitarian maps for Sumatra Following the tsunami that devastated the region of Sumatra,
Keyobs made precise maps of Sumatra island and of Banda Aceh city for humanitarian organizations. This information constitutes a precious help for
organizations that are faced with serious logistic and medical problems.
